Privacy Policy

This policy describes what data Text 4 Info (“the service”, operated by Titus Murphy) collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. By using the service you agree to this policy.

1. What we collect

  • Your phone number (or email address, for email-to-SMS users).
  • Signup information you provide: your name, how you heard about the service, and — if applicable — your Hutterite colony.
  • The full content of every message you send to the service and every reply the service sends back.
  • Timestamps of each message.

2. How we use it

  • To route replies back to you.
  • To give the AI assistant recent context (the last several messages of your conversation) so its answers are coherent.
  • To review signup requests and decide whether to approve access.
  • For debugging and operational logging.

3. Third-party services we share data with

The service relies on the following providers to operate:

  • Twilio — SMS carrier. Receives your phone number and message content in order to deliver messages.
  • OpenAI — generates chat replies. Receives your message and recent conversation history.
  • Brave Search — used when you prefix a message with search. Receives only the search query.
  • Google Maps / Geocoding / Places APIs — used when you prefix a message with find or ask for a phone lookup. Receives only the query.
  • Open-Meteo — used when you prefix a message with weather. Receives only the coordinates.
  • Google (Gmail / Workspace) — used to deliver messages to carrier email-to-SMS gateways in some cases.
  • Cloudflare — hosts this website. Collects server-side request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) as part of standard CDN operation.
  • Other services as needed for operation — the operator may add or change providers over time. Any change that meaningfully expands what data is shared will be reflected in an update to this policy.

4. No sale or sharing for marketing

No user data (including phone numbers, names, message content, timestamps, or any other information collected by the service) is sold, rented, leased, or shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is shared only with the service providers listed in section 3, solely to operate the service.

Mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are not sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing purposes.

5. Data retention

Messages and signup information are stored indefinitely in the operator’s logs and database. You may request deletion of your data by emailing [email protected].

6. Opting out

Reply STOP via SMS at any time to stop receiving messages and opt out of the service. You can also email [email protected] to request removal.

7. Age

This service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. Do not use the service if you are under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
